No jazz world (c)up

« No Jazz » idea of improvisation, twenty-first century style.
« World » idea of North Indian rhythmic cycles, modal music; inspiration from Africa.
« (c)up » idea of technology, video, music, corporate globalization, post "free music" period.
Projected images are a metaphor for the musical score (as a rule of improvisation in rhythmic cycles). Musicians watch the video projected onto their backs, on mirrors placed on their desks. In sum:  we’re looking in the rearview mirror to charge ahead into the musical future.
Etienne Brunet, saxophonist, composer, and improviser, has performed in concerts and festivals, in various groups, throughout the world.
